What to do when you have found injured wildlife
If you have found sick or injured wildlife, please take it straight to WA Wildlife at 172 Hope Rd, Bibra Lake. Whilst Spearwood Vet will take in injured wildlife, we are limited by other patients. Injured wildlife will be seen quicker at a dedicated wildlife rehabilitation center.

Please note: Baby Birds
Please be mindful when trying to rescue a baby bird. Unless the bird is injured, please either leave it where it is or try and place it back into a nest or onto a tree branch. During Spring and Summer, it is common to see young birds sitting or jumping on the ground, they are learning to fly, this may take some failed attempts. Even if you do not immediately see the parents, it is more than likely they are still in the area and will still feed their young.
If the bird is a nestling, with fluffy down and no feathers, it may have fallen accidentally out of the nest. If it looks healthy and uninjured, please place it back into the nest or make a makeshift nest and place in a near tree.
Parent birds will not reject their young if you pick them up. Birds do not have a great sense of smell like another animals.
